Microtrend Gives Fashion The Cold Shoulder

The latest microtrend in tops is the ‘cold shoulder’!

Ulrika Johnson ups the ante by pairing her ‘cold shoulder’ tee with skinny leather trousers for a rocker-ish vibe but this particular style of top can be worn in many different ways for various occasions. It’s particularly useful when you want to bare a little skin – only not in the usual way – and the cut-outs on the shoulders will help to keep you cool in summer…

SA Summer 2011 has seen the ‘cold shoulder’ popping up in the Free2bu department at Edgars and in the Apple Bottoms range at Stuttafords. Woolworths also has a pretty navy embroidered version by Suga Suga under their “South African Designers at Woolworths” label (see below)…

Once you start wearing the cold shoulder, you may find you like it so much you’ll be looking for it in a sweater version come wintertime!
